3 things to make this year better than last year
1. Get wisdom (Prov. 4:5-8)
  – the more wisdom you have, the less miracles you need
  – wisdom makes the difference
  – wisdom bring protection (v.6)
  – how do I get wisdom?
    – from mistakes
    – from other people’s mistakes
    – from mentors
  – wisdom bring increase in my life (v.7)

2. Get God’s favor (Luke 2:52)
  – whatever you recognize, you become thankful for; and whatever you’re thankful for, you see increase
  – favor can change your medical report, your income, and more
  – you can lose favor just as quickly as you can get it
  – people are like elevators, they can take you up or they can take you down. If they’re not taking you up, then they’ll take you down
  – not everyone will be happy about your favor
  – favor accelerates your destiny

3. Generosity (giving – like tithes and offering) (Luke 6:38)
  – tithing is not about money, it’s all about a trust thing with God
  – if you give what’s in your hands, God gives what’s in His hands

– we wait on God to weave us back together with Him

3 results from waiting on God:
1. we’re uplifted
  – mount up – ascend, arise, spring up, dawn, and recover
  – we begin to see things from God’s perspective

2. brings endurance
  – strength and renewal to keep running the race fo life comes from our relationship with God – not a task that we just do each day

3. strengthens us
  – daily walking is the majority of our Christian life
  – waiting helps us keep a balance
